Two Regional Collection Pilots Up and Running...
After our business launch on Earth Day 2017 we had to begin setting up collection locations for conscious individuals to drop-off their craft beer bottles for reuse.
North Tahoe/Truckee Region
Our first Collection Pilot launch in June and covers the North Tahoe/Truckee region of Northern California. We have established eight collection locations throughout the region where locals and visitors can drop-off their craft beer bottles for reuse. The number of craft beer bottles dropped-off at these locations has been growing month over month, which is one of our key performance indicator to measure success.Over the summer we hosted a booth at many ‘events’ throughout the region. Everyone we talked with says ‘YES’ we need this program and the same has been true with businesses who now host a Conscious Container collection location at their site. At these events we have gathered over 250 emails for our monthly newsletter and connected with many amazing conscious individuals.
Northern Nevada Region
On September 21 we launched our Northern Nevada Collection Pilot. Our first model is an incentive based collection pilot in partnership with Great Basin Brewery. We are offering individuals a $1 Great Basin credit for every case of 24 empty Great Basin 12oz beer bottles brought back to either Great Basin Sparks or Reno Brewpub locations, during standard business hours.
The second model for collection in Northern Nevada is a donation based drop-off pilot for only 12oz brown long neck craft beer bottles. We are starting with three locations with plans to expand into additional strategic locations and larger workplaces throughout the Reno/Sparks region.

We continue to be amazed at the positive reception and engagement from our communities and businesses. Glass bottle reuse makes a real impact on reducing our environmental impact and through these pilots, with more in planning, we will collectively re-create this essential reuse marketplace!
